This was specifically stated at some point around the announcement of the SPP as the direct reason for the SPP etc.

I seem to recall the inference (at least) if not the direct acknowledgement that it was Intel itself that preferred that a company it dealt with were seen to be financially viable. We all wondered at the time why the cash raise at a time when we had plenty of funds.

I think that the sudden TH immediately after the EGM indicates that, having attained approval to satisfy the financial side of things from SHers, there's a fair to good chance that Intel are coming to the party "officially" as far as contracts are concerned.

Wouldn't that be something ?

Since we are speculating, yes it was Intel that I had read about that requires companies it deals with have cash backing. You only have to look at how it allocates the companies it deals with in line of structures in its own directories.
