re: uec - record 2 year high - grant? Broadband solutions can be delivered in aseveral different ways:
1)
fibre optic networks, in the way of UEC, et al;
2)
defensive cable networks, in the way of Telstra and Optus;
3)
wireless networks, in the way of Hutchison's "3", the Vodafone backed iBurst, etc;
4)
WiFi networks, in collaboration with one or more of the above, particularly in localised /concentrated environments; and
5)
(arguably, the next growth medium) via satellite, including the likes of MUL, Optus, Shin, etc.
True enough, inner city networks could end up becoming congested at some near future stage. But the monopoly on delivering broadband /true broadband solutions does not solely rest with a company such as UEC.
