Wow ! I am genuinely surprised at all the experts who are on Hot Copper . Experts in firing small arms in a crowded public area at a moving target . Experts at tactical vehicle manouvres , tyre spike deployment etc .
If only the police had followed this forum we'd all be saved .
But seriously , it is an absolute tragedy . Can you imagine how those police feel about it ? Do people really think that the police weren't trying to do their best in this incredibly dynamic situation where anything could have happened ?
Regardless of the outcome they will always be criticised .
The underlying issue here is drug use . Don't blame the cops . Mostly they are only there to clean up the mess . The problem needs to be sorted before it gets to this point .
Lobby your local member . Use your vote . Demand change . Maybe we need some stronger political leadership ? If you don't ask for it you won't get it .
