I would not make too much out of the change of auditor. With the size of APCL at the moment it makes sense to get hold of a cheaper auditor.
The cash raise was long overdue and I do think it was taken by some of the big ones that are already holding this stock.
Rumors are now that the stock will sky rocket on Monday due to the Gambia now being rid of Jammeh and that the process with the farm-out are expected at any time. From what I have seen on the Norwegian forums it is in the government hands and from what I can see it will be completed in a short period of time.
It is also not impossible that the Gambian election and Jammeh leaving could have triggered those who saw the political risk to be too high to now reevaluate and maybe join the race for a piece of this cake. I would not be surprised if this would end up being a battle between the majors (read Total vs Kosmos/BP)...
