Good luck to you playing the short term game if its working out for you. Don't knock the LT holders who stocked up like me from under 60cents and have been holding ever since. Once you factor in the full force of capital gain tax on all those short term trades vs the LT holders especially those who have purcahes in SMSF who will pay zero% CG in pension phase who is better off in the end.
Your analogy of you are only in front if you sell when you are ahead is a bit silly. Following that logic we should all put our family homes on the market to lock in the gains just because we can ???
Happy to sit and wait a couple of more years to pay zero tax, we are happy tortoises playing the long term game. Each to their own but in the long run I know who I would rather be.
