Wave (and most other renewables) probably look a lot cheaper if you consider the cost of decommissioning a large coal plant such as Hazlewood.

$743,000,000 rehab cost. If that is indicative of the industry as a whole, add build cost, operating cost and decommissioning cost, adjust for NPV and then throw in the price for environmental issues and renewables are suddenly looking pretty good value for money compared to new builds of coal plants etc I'd say.
