I think earnings are expected to be higher in second half, there are a number of PPP's just going operational around the start of the calendar year, and for some reason it just tends to happen that way (was mentioned in an earnings call).

After holding for a year it does seem a bit hard to believe we will see even $2 anytime soon, but we should remember that the SP isnt all about fundamentals, SP is also about sentiment, investors dont have confidence in future earnings of SPO because of the earnings downgrade over a year ago, it happened around the time Dick Smith went belly up, and we got tarred with the same Private Equity brush. The lack of confidence in earnings makes people concerned about cashflow and debt etc... One or two results that beat expectations could do wonders to shake that off.

And if they can successfully change their perception to be about be more innovative it could make big difference with both fundamentals and sentiment, not just about getting the job done, but getting it done smarter. So this Tesla deal could make a huge difference if it happens. And just looking at the web page again now, looks like they have changed their slogans.
