I think you're suggesting that you're in some stocks because once free carried you then just leave them on under a long term buy and hold mindset?
I think you need to clean up your portfolio.
I will have a concentrated portfolio with larger positions, as Anton noted above, but will have a deliberate objective for each trade. So maybe hold a mining stock through its exploration phase or an industrial stock through a high growth period. But its purposeful. I'll trim a bit of profit when I can to manage risk along the way but sell out once I've captured the bulk of the gains on offer and recycle the capital. I dont have stocks just sitting in my portfolio hoping that 1 in 3 of them might go for a lucky run or something.

Thanks for replying.
I have been holding free carried parcels long term for no real reason and have been waiting for a lucky run etc. I see now for me it is quite a poor decision in the LT and time to free up some capital.
Thanks for opening my eyes up Orwell. This resource is the best particularly when I dont have anyone to discuss these issues with face to face.
