Redlight, thanks for your excellent on-the-spot update.

Your point about the big swing in popular support, especially about speed systems, really hit home to me. Watching News Alerts from Google, it is been quite amazing to see the change in tone, both in articles produced by journalists, and in letters and notes from average citizens, writing to their local papers or TV stations.

While red-light systems have had good community support for some time, twelve months ago, it was rare to see anybody prepared to say a good word about speed cameras. Now, there is widespread (in some areas, perhaps majority) support - and politicians, at the State level, appear to be sensing this, and responding accordingly. Arizona is obviously the prime example, but it is far from alone.

This has to mean that the industry expansion we have seen in the last twelve months is likely to accelerate - with Redflex well-placed to ride the wave.

It's also very interesting that you see ATS as the only real competitor still standing. The result in Corpus Christi, with Redflex apparently comprehensively winning a benchmark test, against ATS and Siemens, should do no harm at all in future competitive situations!
