novacs mates at TRF have posted following articles relating to magnetite and hematite production and demand. worth a read:
http://www.pir.sa.gov.au/byteserve/minerals/references/mesa_journal/mj_35/mj35_onesteel_magnetite.pdf
http://www.minerals.csiro.au/main/pg2.asp?id=37475
1st article shows on page 2 stepes of mining and production for both hem and mag. v interesting
Im interested in CSIRO's view in the 2nd article re mag. i wonder if more producers come on-line in aus, would this create unfavoured economic changes to Fe price ie increase supply forces price down if demand the same??? are we shooting ourselves in the foot?
what will be interesting is when demand falls (potentially in coming yrs) what does that do to hem vs mag purchases??
likewise what if demand increases or remains constant??
