thanks for that - yes, I knew most of that -
however, the bit I am not familiar with is this dome upside down business - I understand how it may not accumulate initially - but, is it possible that the bowl (or bowl like effect) can either slow down or stop the leaching process - particularly in the upper layers?
I shall be catching up with Tom in the next week or two - so, will get my own take on the dome - the cons. was relayed to me by another party.
