@gps310 - good to hear from you and your thoughts are always welcome. As you know, my views are my opinion, however in attempting to get anns from IOT clarified IOT management has kindly replied to me emails. I received another email today clarifying my lack of knowledge re "Carabiner", which is a fancy name for a particular type of belt clip.
I do disagree with some of your comments about AEE. There are no revenue and profit figures available for AEE, as they are not listed, however there have been media reports (which I read some time ago) that indicate one of AEE's weaknesses is marketing into the Americas, Europe and Japan. I guess you can also throw Australia into that camp as they have had very moderate success and really only with cameras and cheap end drones.
So my conclusion is that AEE need marketing and sales support and IMO, IOT fills that gap well.
I see negative posts about management and particular "failures" and have addressed those posts, but add, their successes haven't been mentioned. Anyway, I digress.
Regarding distribution and storage, those matters will be in the control of the appointed distributors. My understanding from comments at the AGM is that the orders will be placed on IOT, IOT will communicate details to AEE who will ship direct to big box companies etc. I don't believe there will be any need for distributors or IOT to provide warehousing for product. In another life, much of my time was taken up with direct importation to customer's warehouse and I see no reason why this won't apply to deliveries to major customers. In the case of Australia, IOT have already appointed a distributor ie The Product Group".
The anns advise the arrangement for AEE product is that IOT have sole distribution rights for US, Canada, Mexico, NZ, Aust, Japan, so I cannot see any possibility at all of parallel marketing in those countries.
We will have to agree to disagree on the "maths", but I will comment on "over-crowded
I maintain my attitude on Roame - this has been put aside for a period of time to support the Rova release. My gut feeling is Roame news no sooner than end qtr 1 2017, due to Rova push and reduced staff.
