gann45, you're assuming that spi traders (1) determine xjo moves from 10.10 to 4.00, and (2) that the opinions of small traders count for anything. How often have we all been caught in the multiple xjo/spi short squeezes over the past year or two? Even if you have a good notion of where the market is headed, who is prepared to lead off in the new direction when its cost you $$ to do so previously? And since when did xjo take notice of the shanghai indexes? Its hasn't previously. Today was another manipulated oppo for the big traders to 'take profits' before prices hit the wall.
