Don't disagree with your thinking entropylord and hope ptr does perform for all those who hold. But bear in mind gdy has proven assets rather than a series of dots on the map (kalina cycle heat echange technology for one plus investing in the new drill rig) They have started the process of putting theory into practice and have encountered problems along the way. Ptr still has to do this and find out the hard way. Unfortunately geothermal technology is very trendy at the moment which is why there are so many willing to jump on ptr and other explorers. I only caution that gdy is unlikely to share its experience with potential opponents so there will be just as much heartache for them. As for some of the other recent geothermal floats - roflmfao!
