Have a crack... Short interest is NOT the only measure of a short.
Short interest is T+4 and T+5 than leaves heaps of time for Intra that period to shorts to go naked and they do all the time. ASX and ASIC are technologically sadly behind and need to come into the 21 st Century on policing "Naked" much better,
When there is bad news its always exacerbated by the nakeds. ASX is conflicted and ASIC needs more government funding. Lots more.
