The danger with the 6 week (minimum) rail closure is that Solid Energy would have worked hard to retain existing coal customers during the HCC downturn.
Any disruption to the transport chain may cause these customers to seek alternative supply.
This could set BRL back when it acquires Stockton as anticipated during the next 4 months.
