its hot all the way up the east coast and hotter inland at the moment, heatwaves always come in February when kids go back to school. It was no different when we were kids, and as some discussed this morning, AC has made softies out of a lot of us and its probably not such a bad thing. So much of what people do now is inside homes or offices or shopping centres etc. It wasn't always the way. In generations past, kids in Australia would roam pretty free most of the time, and when they sweat on a hot day and the wind blows, that called AC in the old language. Same goes for much of the work that was done in generations past, building the houses and infrastructure and cities and roads and fences and factories, all outside work and the personal AC worked in that exact same way, evaporative cooling !
