TO rumors do abound mainly in Fairfax: they r getting things right. RIO were deliberately silent about ERA, almost disquieteningly so, I suspect something is up and perhaps it is Cameco- ERA related. I do not think the rumors relate to PDN due to the debt level. Insurance for the PDN mines both in Canada and Australia might be going up.
Fairfax Press were carrying rumors about Allianz going after QBE, they had the right industry, wrong target. It was Tower NZ by Canada's Fairfax Financial.
So the rumor was not too bad just misdirected.
I am surprised Fairfax Financial went after TOW: I would have thought QBE, IAG or SUN were better.
