There tonight, we are treated to the other side of the Burke & Grill story. These men are nothing short of local heroes!

Marvellous, simply marvellous.

Without them, and not the other 100 or so lobbyist in Westralia the bureaucracy would grind the mining industry back into the ground from whence it so tearfully struggled.

And the weight of government! Don’t get me started!

Wow is the mining industry and more is the pity that all these wonderful captains and crews of this most noble of human pursuit that is so cruelly persecuted.

Down trod I say.

My interpretation is the ABC simply allowed Michael Kiernan and others to condemn themselves. Because the myopia of these types outrages me to the core.

They need to be put to work in the mines, I say. But instead they blame today's Australian Aboriginals for delays in getting projects up and running. And why? Because there is nothing that can or should be raised in opposition to mining when and where and in circumstances that they alone should decide?

And maybe the bureaucracy does play with the heartstrings of these rich and powerful people. God I hate bureaucracy! Don’t you?

But maybe the bureaucracy also knows that an impartial approach can reveal complexity that no single and partial party can.

And maybe the bureaucracy knows there is no way of fully satisfying these captains who need always to be fully satisfied. Then further satisfied until they own the whole world.

Yes, these captains can have the banks breathing down their necks. But maybe this can reflect insatiable greed and unrealistic expectations?

Thank god the CCC at least knows what is right and what is wrong. The rest is just noise, IMHO.
