Well im assuming their running clinical trails on our strain/IP'd version of the MM - if we have one.
There wouldn't be much point, rather than the public good etc, in running just a general trial of someone elses weed id imagine.
The best thing would to be use our specific strain/compounds and prove them through multiple stages of trials, then to be approved for domestic use in AUS/Europe/USA/WORLD - that is the $$$.
IMO.
