JTA
25/11/2016, emailed Glyn about the similar question and got a response from Matt Wright advising that
"I work with OBJ in an investor relations capacity. Having looked up Olay Skin Advisor I can safely say this isn't linked to OBJ's Connect Beauty technology."
Based on the following information that it is deemed to be known fact that OBJ has commenced discussions/work with P&G in relation to skin care Personalisation/Connect Beauty applicator:
1. quarterly report (27/01/2017) page 2 -
"Specification development for the possible licensing by P&G of a second technology platform, as announced at the Company's AGM in October. The potential commercialisation of the new technology is a major disruptive approach to the beauty and grooming market"
2. The Weekend Australian (27/07/2016) -
"A potential future game changer for the company is an idea that Edwards dream up while in the shower seven years ago — personalised skincare. It involves technology that connects to a smartphone to personalise the way skincare products interact with an individuals’ skin.
It considers variables such as age, ethnicity, skin condition, climate and other factors that can impact the effect of how a product matches a person’s skin.
Edwards says there are now two large fast growing consumer goods companies after that product. “It will change the way the industry works,” he says.
3. Cosmetics design-asia (27/01/2016) "World first personalized skin care technology launched"(http://www.cosmeticsdesign-asia.com...-personalized-skin-care-technology-launched)-
"A new app and connected cosmetics applicator device have been launched by skin care and medical technology developer OBJ, in what the company describes as 'world first' beauty personalisation technology.
It also taps into the dominant rising trend of male grooming, with OBJ stating that is is also has a similar men's version of the technology in development."
So Personalisation/ConnectBeauty Applicator
1. can be used for both of skin care and grooming
2. two large fast growing consumer goods companies after this product - P&G definitely is one of them, so which company is the second one?
3. as Matt Wright email that Olay Skin Advisor isn't linked to OBJ Connect Beauty Technology, then could it be SK-II, Braun, Gillett or ....? (one of OBJers posted after last year AGM stating that either Jeff or Glyn mentioned that our next licensing for grooming could be Braun?)
