I dont know how else to say this so i will strip it right back to the nuts and bolts. forget the VPN.
Someone walks up to you on the street and says I will give you 50% more data and a 30% speed increase to your mobile plan for $5/month. Do you think they will care if its a VPN or a magic bean if it delivers? The current VPN market is for people who are wanting privacy, WGL's product delivers that but not from govt, which is some peoples concern.
This is a whole new market, stop thinking that we are trying to break into that privacy market. Big hint, WE AREN'T, or at least we shouldn't be. We should be going after teens, soccer moms, families and everyone else. The average person gives zero (0) shits about their privacy, this is evident by the fact that they post everything on social media. So while being compliant is important in one sense and would probably make shareholders happy, the average consumer isn't going to care (until there's a breach).
Current VPN subscriber numbers are worthless imo, you may as well be quoting how many people are drinking Coke, it's about as relevant I feel.
Also I don't think it will get down to 1.5 before an announcement but if that's what you're waiting for good luck!
