Nobody except the rich can afford to buy a house unless they take on a huge mortgage. Debt levels are the highest in more than 25 years. Banks are doing everything they can to keep selling properties including no deposit loans.
But people taking on large debts is driving GDP growth. Business Investment is not the biggest contributor, the average aussie is.
