My post on mud pies aside there is some sobering stuff in this thread.
As it is generally accepted that much of the liquidity in the housing and stock markets is because super funds are flush with cash, what indeed will happen as 3 million baby boomers retire over the next ten years ?
On the surface it appears that much of the liquidity will dry up as the funds will need all their money to pay the retirement benefits and have little left over to invest.
Hmm interesting. Perhaps an economist would like to comment.
