guys I cant see the chinese economy abating now that we're a year and a bit away from the olympics.
I remember here in sydney, many parts of the city were in major overhaul for 2000 olympics; construction activity was everywhere; property construction also hot.
Imagine Beijing - its gotta look a million bucks when they stage themselves to the world in mid-2008
Imagine all the overhaul work to exising infrastructure; imagine all the construction involved in getting everything looking good and ready to go for mid 2008 olympics.
property developments need to be completed; commercial property, shopping centres - everything needs to look the part.
I reckon the chinese economy will not stop one bit till the olympics and the appetite for ALL METALS will be remarkable in the next 15 months!
they may say they want to control the pace of the economy etc, BUT with olympics coming up theyll SPEND and SPEND BIGTIME to get everything up to scratch and finish off major construction projects within a narrow time-frame
metals will prosper as a result
we're already seeing this with the figures out of beijing.
