In Tanzania, Kibaran Resources (ASX: KNL / WKN: A1C8BX) on the Epanko project is making rapid progress towards the absorption of graphite. The raw material, which plays an important role in the field of electric mobility, has mainly come from China to the world market. In view of the global developments, it becomes clear why graphite sources outside China are likely to be of great interest in the industry, such as the Tesla electric car manufacturer (WKN A1CX3T).

Lastly, tests of the graphite that promotes Kibaran Resources on Epanko have already shown that this battery-ready quality has been achieved (we reported). The Australian company's quarterly activity report, which has now been presented, confirms this. In end-use tests it has been shown that the Epanko graphite can even exceed the required standards. These are excellent news when it comes to the sales potential of the company from "downunder".

    Great progress in various studies

But these are not the only good news coming from the southern hemisphere. At all "construction sites" on the Epanko project, there are significant progress. The planning of resettlements in Tanzania is well advanced and is expected to be completed in the current quarter, involving all affected groups in the work, emphasizes Kibaran Resources, who is responsible for these plans with the help of specialized consultants with best connections to important international organizations Security.

The work on the planned expansion of the Epanko project and the corresponding feasibility study are also taking a major step forward. The Australians want to increase the annual capacity of the project from 40,000 tons to 60,000 tons. For this purpose, extensive soil investigations were carried out on the project area. Kibaran Resources has completed drill holes with a total length of more than 7.7 kilometers, and thousands of soil samples have been tested. The results are to be integrated into the feasibility study which is to be completed in the coming weeks. The Company expects significant increases in the resources of this study compared to the previous values.

Graphite casts on Epanko larger than previously

investigated Electromagnetic examinations have also been carried out from the air on Epanko. First results from the analysis of raw data from these explorations have already shown that the graphite deposit extends in the southern direction far beyond the areas that Kibaran Resources has previously investigated with drill holes. The Australians see themselves thus confirmed in their assessment that the resource is many times greater than the current resource estimate.
