Wind farms and their subsidies were specifically designed to drive reliable conventional generators out of business and this is exactly what is happening. Unfortunately, the geniuses who concocted this debacle forgot to mention to Australians that the 'free' electricity is only occasionally available. Whoops - who would have thought? Next dramas will erupt in Victoria closely followed by NSW as they plow on with building unreliable wind farms. Your taxes at work.
