If anger should be vented in any direction it must be towards those who allow commercial and residential developments to encroach airport space. All for a quick dollar.
In Canberra for example, idiots built shopping centres between the Runways 12 and 17. Luckily some extreme lobbying to a build residential estate under the approach to Runway 35 did not get anywhere (so far).
I know Essendon is different ..... indeed much worse ( and the encroachment is historic) as there as there is no useful clear space beyond the piano keys for any of the runways. This means that when a plane takes off and suffers engine failure it has nowhere to go but into something ...... and a King Air is not a Piper Cub.
