With AVM trading at an all time high, and going from strength to strength on the ground in Congo it may be time to review some more trading opportunities in regards mining prospects in Africa.
A bottom-drawer dusty of mine and an old-time darling of Vidi's is Argosy. I bought this stock in 2000 becuase of its promising world class potential projects in New Caledonia (with with a JV with Norlisk eventually went belly-up) and Burrundi, which was struggling with Civil wars similiar to its neighbour Congo, not to forget its minor exposure to gold projects.
Unfortunately Burrundi's internal strife continued and the project was put on force-majuer by Argosy while the Civil wars continued and just this month it has announced a delegation travelling to Burrundi in a few weeks to resume some discussions with the Government.
The SP wallowed for years down to around .05 while smart investors accumulated what littel was on offer and has risen to a high of .46 today on renewed interest. There is lots of speculation mainly due to the size of its claims in Burrundi and the few shares that are tightly held.
I mention this in the AVM thread because if anyone knows about operating in a high risk environment, its you guys (and obviously BT). There is tremendous potential in its projects and Im wondering if anyone has read some of the AGY thread of recent days. Just a dream but wouldnt it be terrific to get some of BT's expertise in on Argosy's Nickel projects in Africa if they eventuate?
