Clean coal is years away and will require mega $ to put into practice, with huge uncertainties as to the retention of any geo-sequestration reservoirs. They will simply never know whether it will work into the future. An absolute travesty of a solution in my opinion, given the range of options available, including nuclear.
I know not everyone agrees, but I think nuclear does have a role to play. Do you realise that there is technology out there at R&D level whereby we could develop 'fast breeder' reactors which can actually run off the waste from conventional nuclear technologies?
I say back uranium now, but in ten years, back the company that commercialises that - a guaranteed winner, if some way into the future, although not good for uranium miners.
In the meantime, although I am not a holder, I hope EVM succeeds - looks like a great technology, both ecologically and commercially. They just need to find a friendly government that will minimise the regulatory hurdles and provide support, unlike Howards ignorant mob.
