I guess "all that and more" is pretty close to the truth - so the old 'buyer beware' is very applicable.
Most of us are innocently trying to chat and share info, but there obviously are darker forces at play.
One of the most significant might be the attempt to discredit posters who provide backed up data with their posts, because all of the financial (internet or otherwise) bodies who CHARGE for this info are potentially missing out on client bucks if their info is available for nothing, or a smart poster beats them to it before they themselves 'are set'.
I'm seeing this happening on here with a nasty mob posting unpleasantly after every single post made by some of the better or more knowledgable share traders.
No wonder it's tempting to take a break now and again! You need ultra big shoulders to put up with constant ridicule and bad comment that is posted to 'shut you up'.
Many will know what I'm on about. Enuff said!
