I discussed the second link with a bilingual Tanzanian. They say the government reps note KNL's community engagement and point out the benefits of KNL progress.
The article also says the government encourages remaining locals to complete their evaluations and that KNL gave them an extension to do so, which the government thanked them for.
Dated in Jan, but unclear when it happened.
The real question on my mind has been why didn't KNL tell us this? (or did they already in a past announcement)
