Apparently beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Value is more tangible. Up, down or square.
If you are a senior person/s at ALK on a $200k pa salary... that's long-term value creation.
As for shareholders. Dividends and capital gain are the key IMO.
Seems to me, if you are on nice salary in a mining company, there is probably no rush. Bank the salary, shareholders just have to wait.
How about this for a plan. MD works for $0 this year, and gets 5x his salary when we are funded.
