With the diverse locations and other techniques to separate and protect the data, I think it unlikely that IAM has fallen at that security hurdle.
Rather I think there is a greater likelihood that all the boxes have been ticked at the recommendation level. And that recommendation has gone to the Board. But at that level there may be ground to pause. Perhaps the household name is considering (ANZ-like) a divestiture. There are many reasons a Board could want to pause before making such an investment/commitment.
But whatever the underlying factor(s), the decision is beyond IAM's control.
