    March 1 (Reuters) - Middle Island Resources Ltd (MDI)

    • A$1.76m placement to progress sandstone gold project
    • Proceeds to be used to further advance revised exploration and development strategy for co's wholly-owned sandstone gold project in western australia
    • Received commitments from shareholders for private placement of 117.3 million fully paid ordinary shares at a$0.015 per share
