Dathomir actually get 19% of the project (10% + 260M/1774M of AVZ's 60% stake) - I made a mental note of this when I read the announcement, but hadn't bothered to do the maths until now - as well as US$750K upfront.
And where some people see dilution, I see a a smart long-term partnership with a Chinese conglomerate. How many lithium developers are looking for well-funded, heavy-weight partner(s)? And AVZ has already one before drill equipment is on site!
I give it 12-18 months. Then it will be sold to a Chinese company.
This will be a strategic asset for China. Just like Tenke Fungurume. No doubt in my mind.
