The shareholders are now fully informed on CIMIC's intentions.
OFFER WILL CLOSE ON 9 MARCH AT 7.00PM SYDNEY TIME - If, within the last 7 days of the Offer Period, CGI’s voting power in Macmahon increases to more than 50%, then the Offer Period is automatically extended under section 624(2) of the Corporations Act so that it ends 14 days after that event.
This is recognition that unless the shareholders have a significant change of opinion and decide to accept the offer, this takeover offer is dead in the water.
Have told the market that the offer will not be extended - the decision is now lies with the shareholders and any additional information the MAH Board bring to the table prior to March 9.
