This is a true story:
"Many years ago, I knew of a fresh graduate (FG) who could not get a job due to recession.
So FG offered to work for Westpac forex division, for free.
He was office boy, coffee boy, messenger boy, vacuuming floor, making cuppas for the departmental head and forex dealers.
A few weeks later, chief dealer trialed him as a trainee dealer.
FG mind was razor sharp.
A month later he was promoted to junior dealer with a $60'000 base salary + perks + bank fringe benefits.
It was big money for a fresh graduate in those time"
