Some have asked who was the successful tenderer for the POC. I think I can make an educated guess on that. Firstly, Covata is an exhibitor at the 2017 Security and Policing Home Office Event that is taking place this week. Thinking that the other company would also be attending, there seem to be two likely companies, ISS Global and their Dfuze product and Egosecure. Both are European companies, but the Dfuze product looks to be a specialist product for law enforcement and it is my guess that this was the successful product for the POC.
It's speculation, but if correct, it may be useful to understand that we were beaten by a specialist law enforcement product, whereas Safe Share is more of a whole of government solution. Wishful thinking?
I'm now waiting to see what comes out of the EGM in April.
