However Lawson was censored by the government putting pressure on the publishers to tone things down regarding race.
As a result he gave the impression of being indifferent to Aboriginals and the plight of other races.
Without that direct pressure in modern times, and based on his hard life, I doubt he would put down any group who were battling--- including the mostly honest Moslems.

Lawson was a nationalist, who was not too complementary on Asia, who was anti-internationalism, was pro white Australia and believed in an armed populace. I feel you missed the mark on this one.
