I hope we never have European 'no go zones'. It baffles me how they exist in Europe. No go to the police? No go to law? No go to benefits? Nah, just kidding that one.
That is the beauty of studying history--it allows us to learn from mistakes.
IMO Europe did not plan well enough when they became the EU. They tried to force the states to adopt progressive attitudes to migration, but they were not prepared to deal with huge numbers of refugees as a result of conflict in the Middle East along with economic migrants.
Australia is one state, far away from the Middle East and with different populations around us.
Australians have a different spirit when faced with conflict--we have the best soldiers in the world and we will confront issues such as no go zones before they get completely out of hand.
Europe is as good as lost--we will learn from that.
You believe in the 'Aussie spirit', kudos, did your Swedish equivalent believe? The Cologne dad with the raped daughter?
In Flanders field in northern France
They are doing a brand new dance
