Hello fellow dog lovers, Has anybody here had the same issue? My dog every now and again has had swollen anal glands.He sits repeatedly sits on his bum but he does not scoot on the ground.I check his bum and can see it is swollen.I have added a bit more fiber to his food because they say the poo is not hard enough to help naturally express the anal sacs. I have taken him to the vet before to get them to express the glands manually.The other day i tried to do it myself and was successful in excreting the fluid. That was fun And it stank to high heaven.
Here's a video that help me with the process there are plenty of others on the subject but i found this one more in line with what happened in my scenario.
