The division in opinion over the Hicks case is not about guilt or innocence, but about those who look at the case as being about Hicks the man and those who look at the system and the politics that controlled the case, or justice itself.
If Hicks was taken out of the equation I think most people would be more closely aligned about the rights and wrongs of the whole affair.
