@Welsho54, will always help where I can. Petalite is refractory like spodumene (just lower grade). Needs an expensive "bespoke" lixiviant or roasting to break it.
Both petalite and spodumene have their place in the market- that is as raw materials into refractories and glass- not lithium carbonate (at LT lithium carb prices).
