BB as an ex old crusty and grumpy geologist I know a little bit about sampling theory but not that much about Li deposits. Am I correct in interpreting that you are saying BGSs spodumene deposit displays a highly heterogeneous nature (like gold) and the larger the sample size the more likely you are to capture more of the material you want to assay for and thus after appropriate sample preparation, and using the right assay technique over a suitable sub-split sample, you achieve a higher grade? With RC drilling have a larger diameter hole than DD drilling thus giving you that large sample with the bulk sample being larger again.
But I am unsure what you are saying about the DD sampling given that it is a smaller sample and you generally assay only a half of it. The sample collected will most likely be less smeared/contaminated and intact than RC so you can measure its physical properties and undertake test work but what do you mean by a better concentration?
