Link below mentions Transaction Solutions Limited atm's managed on behalf of Mphasis got hacked .
I not a techie but TSI using the operating system Windows XP which is an an old microsoft OS and they never updated to Windows7 or 10 By the look of it as police commisioner advised they upgrade Makes me wonder why TSI tech manager not onto this Or why Mphasis techies not up to speed Read the link http://www.newindianexpress.com/sta...t-goes-hi-tech-as-hackers-strike-1578157.html http://www.tsiplc.com/ website is down ???
Exerpt from the article above
"Investigation revealed that the hackers went to the ATMs during nights, used a key to open the upper compartment of the ATMs where the computers were located. Using a USB drive, the systems were apparently rebooted. Once restarted, the systems were de-linked from the main servers of the service provider and responded to the hackers’ commands who operated from the ATM. By-passing the server, the hackers swiftly dispensed the cash and walked away, without even raising an alarm.
The entire operation takes several minutes. Although an online monitoring of the ATMs is in place, the service providers failed to come up with satisfactory explanations to Twin City police why the thefts were not detected immediately."
Seems only Mphasis managed atm's where targeted by the sophisticated hackers
doesnt seem good for TSI's "e-survelliance system if this is true Dont know how much to believe in the article But it says it was undetected by the e-surveliance system So how much is this E system TSI are trialling OK and the effect on the TSI e survelliance brand?
Has anyone else heard more about this to clarify or substantiate ? cT
