Sydney - Monday - April 2: (RWE Australian Business News) - Auspine Ltd (ASX code: ANE) today said it remained confident that, in conjunction with private and other sources of logs, it could sustain current sawlog intake volumes for at least the next 12 months. The company executed a log supply contract with Rayonier late on Friday March 30. Following an offer from the Premier of Tasmania, and Auspine's acceptance, the company is working with the Tasmanian Government on the purchase of additional volumes of sawlog from the west coast of Tasmania. Also, Auspine has confirmed its intention to secure current employment levels at both Scottsdale mills for at least for the immediate future. The company noted a considerable volume of the log supply which had been secured for the immediate future was also available for at least three to four years. In conjunction with Auspine's national operations, this log availability would enable the company to continue to supply and service all Tasmanian customers for the foreseeable future. Auspine shares traded steady at $3.58 today. ENDS
