I don't necessarily think a decision against them will be the end of MRV, but best case scenario we'd probably see existing shareholders diluted (possibly substantially if full $8m is still deemed owing).

I could easily see the share price halving with a decision against them or doubling if in their favour in very short order. If it did drop to .002 (circa $4m market cap) and MRV managed to raise $8m for the tax bill, then existing shareholders could end up only owning 1/3 of previously held company %.

It's promising to see MRV is planning for BAU and pivoting toward their silver project, with directors who are prepared to tip in $ at the current share price.
