It certainly appears Org won the day on where the rig was to go next also as G58 alluded to. The only possible reasons, given that Arq are supposed to have control of the rig I can think of are:

    * The fields are declining faster than they can bring the development wells on stream giving Org a strong logical argument for more of these wells. Possible but given the high success rate recently, lets hope it's not true.

    * A tactical move by Arq to keep any good Perth basin exploration news out of the headlines as it was to buy a larger stake in the offshore basin cheaply if the wells about to be spudded fail. P.S. alluded to the fact Arq will be a winner out of this campaign no matter what the result.

    * Keeping the powder dry in the Perth basin as there is heaps of exploration about to occur in offshore Perth basin, Yemen and Canning in coming weeks to keep shareholders more than happy.

    * Org is about to bid for Arq or have a major deal in the pipeline and are already exerting control or are using it to influence it's decisions.
