"Excuse my charting ignorance but I would thought 34c was resistance as it has bumped this level but failed to exceed it 3 or 4 times of late. What is the significance of the 35c level?"

Previous intraday high is at 35.5c. So for confirmation of breakout you need a close above this level. However, a close on this level (which would be an end of day high) would be a very bullish sign indeed, and an indicator for a possible run the following day.
